An elderly man yesterday found himself in a city court after being accused of assaulting his grandson.
Morris Barker, 67, of Mahaica, was charged with unlawfully assaulting Keifer Rose on June 27th at Amazon Backdam, Cuyuni River.
Barker pleaded not guilty to the charge.
With no objections from the prosecutor, Barker was placed on $30,000 bail and the case was transferred to the Bartica Magistrates’ Court for July 31st.
