At about 1325h. today , the police say that Cuban national Mirko Cardenos, 35 years, was walking along Regent Street, Georgetown, when he was attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
Cardenas was shot to his chest and robbed of $9,000 by the perpetrators who escaped in a waiting motor car.
He has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
