Akela Baptiste, 15, of Lot 50H Sheriff, Street, Campbellville and who is a Charlestown Secondary School student, left home to attend a party.

Her mother, Michelle Bunbury, said she was not at home on Saturday when her daughter left. However, she was informed by her brother that Baptiste asked his permission to attend a party the same afternoon. When the girl did not return, her uncle called her and she told him that she would be sleeping over at a friend’s place.

Subsequent calls to her went unanswered.

Bunbury further stated that Baptiste went missing from home before but was later reunited with her family after the matter was dealt with by the Social Protection Ministry’s Welfare Department.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Baptiste is asked to contact the nearest police station or telephone numbers 662-8944, 696-2826 or 697-1595.
