Plaisance man hospitalised after hit and run

A man is now hospitalised after a hit and run last night at the Plaisance Market.

According to eyewitnesses, Steve Abrams, 40, of Lot 1 Railway Line, Plaisance, was making his way across the road when a speeding car struck him, sending him several meters along the road. The driver of the car refused to stop and kept on speeding away from the scene.

Abrams was subsequently rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was treated for a broken leg and injuries to his head. He is currently admitted and in a stable condition.
