Giftland donates 150 school hampers to Tiger Bay

Giftland on Sunday undertook its Annual Back-To-School Charity Activity at Nations University Compound, New Market Street, Georgetown.

A release from the retail company said that Tiger Bay children were given more than 150 school hampers that could assist them this coming school year. The packages which were distributed included items for nursery, primary and secondary school students. The packages also included modelling dough, colouring and tracing books, pencils, pen, exercise books and other school supplies that the children can use.

“Giftland has been doing this for the past five years and will continue to support the welfare and development of our surrounding communities’ especially for the benefit of the children. We are now at Giftland Mall in Turkeyen but we stay committed in reaching out and supporting the Tiger Bay residents.

Moreover, Giftland is planning to adopt another community in the near future, not only to show our heartfelt gratitude for the continued support that our loyal shoppers exhibits but simply because `Giftland cares’, about the improvement of our society by making a difference in small but meaningful and positive ways”, the release said.

The release thanked ANSA McAL, Bounty and Humphrey Bakery who also supported the charity activity by providing the snacks and beverages.
