Carpenter stabbed and robbed on Lamaha St

A carpenter was stabbed in his hand and robbed of $200,000 in cash last night.

Delroy Boyce, 29, of Lot ‘G’ Canvas City, Linden, and his friend were riding their bicycles along Lamaha Street around 11PM when he was confronted by two men who stabbed him, relieved him of the cash and escaped with his bicycle.

According to his friend, they were riding to their Kingston abode when he stopped to fix the chain of his bicycle. He said Boyce continued riding about 100 feet further and stopped to wait on him. As he was in the process of fixing the chain of his bicycle, he heard a commotion and subsequently noticed Boyce and the two men in a struggle. He subsequently noticed Boyce fall to the ground and the two men escaping with his bicycle.

Boyce was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to lower left arm and back.
