Tight race

(Trindiad Express) With undecided voters factored in, the national race between all voters is a statistical tie, with 38 per cent leaning toward the People’s Partnership, 36 per cent to the People’s National Movement (PNM), one per cent to the Independent Liberal Party (ILP) and 25 per cent undecided.

This is the finding of the latest Nigel Henry/Solution by Simulation (SBS) pre-election tracking poll.

SBS interviewed 1,997 adults in Trinidad and Tobago via live telephone calls from August 25 to September 3. The respondents were sampled from households of registered voters in the 595 polling divisions in Trinidad whose election results best predicted the national election results in past elections between 2000 and 2010, and reweighted by the ethnic composition of the 18+ population. The margin of error of the poll is +/-2 per cent.

The poll was commissioned by the Express Newspapers.
