At about 0230h. today, the police say that four men, two of whom were armed with handguns, broke into the home of Andrew Lee, 56 years, of North East La Penitence, Georgetown, and held him at gunpoint.
The men took away a television set and an IPod and escaped. The police say that Lee was shot to his right foot during the robbery.
He has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
