Couple accused of drug trafficking after Timehri cocaine find

A man and a woman, who were allegedly caught with cocaine at Timehri, were yesterday remanded to prison on a charge of drug trafficking.

It is alleged that on September 11, at the Timehri Public Road, Chrisel Brown, 26, of 32 Lamaha Park and Andre Shawn Pilgrim, a 33-year-old taxi driver, of 83 Lamaha Street, had in their possession 12.314 grammes of cocaine for trafficking.

Brown, who was represented by attorney Mark Waldron and Pilgrim, who was represented by attorney Adrian Thompson, both pleaded not guilty to the charge when they appeared in a Georgetown court.

Magistrate Ann McLennan adjourned the case until October 9 for reports and ordered the defendants to be remanded until then.
