From lelft, Kerwin Clarke (light middle) fourth, Sylvester Andrews (welterweight) fourth, Alisha Fortune (Body Fitness), Emmerson Campbell 4th place and Devon Davis (bantamweight) silver (Men’s Physique).

He, however, lost to a Bahamian in the championships which was marred by several head scratching errors by the judges. Many contingents including Jamaica, Guyana, former winner’s Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago voiced their concerns of the skewed judging following the championships.

Meanwhile, current Mr. Guyana, Kerwin Clarke placed fourth in the light middleweight category, Sylvester Andrews finished fourth in the welterweight class and Emmerson Campbell (Men’s Physique) was adjudged fourth in his division.

In an invited comment, Campbell said: “The experience of being here was great,” but indicated that several participants were disgruntled and voiced their opinions over the judges’ decisions which didn’t sit well with some of them.

The other athlete of Guyana’s five-member contingent, Alisha Fortune was unfortunate not to get past pre judging in the Ms. Body Fitness segment of the event. The hosts regained the championships with seven gold medals.
