The Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) in collaboration with the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) will run off an Under-13 hardball cricket competition for young players in and around Georgetown.
The first match will take place at the DCC ground tomorrow evening from 6pm and will see DCC B opposing Gandhi Youth Organisation (GYO) in a T20 affair.
According to Ricky Deonarain of the GFSCA, the aim of the tournament is to assist in the development of young cricketers.
The tournament is being sponsored by the GFSCA and Trophy Stall.
Some of the clubs participating in the tournament are DCC, GYO, Everest, Transport Sports Club, Georgetown Cricket Club and the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC).
