RK’s offering $1M reward for info on cash transport robbers

RK’s Security Services is offering a $1 million reward to anyone offering information that would assist in the arrest of the men who robbed an armed cash transport team in the city on Sunday and shot one of the firm’s managers in the attack.

In a Facebook post yesterday, the firm announced that it is offering the reward to anyone who would offer information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators who attacked the cash transport team and injured security manager Garvin Trotman.

It stated that anyone with information can contact RKSECURE55@yahoo.com or Roshan Khan at 226-7541 or 226-0168. All informants and information would be treated confidential, it said.

The team was attacked by two bandits on a CG motorcycle just after collecting a bag of money from Dr Balwant Singh’s Hospital on East Street.

Trotman, who was driving the security vehicle, was shot four times through the window. After Trotman was shot, the bandits retrieved the money from the vehicle and escaped. Trotman was subsequently rushed to Dr Balwant Singh’s Hospital, where he was treated for two shots to his right shoulder, one to his left shoulder, and another to his right side.

The man is still admitted at the hospital and the police are still searching for the bandits.

Eyewitnesses criticised Trotman’s partner, who was in the seat next to him, for not firing or reacting during the robbery.
