Two gunmen stormed the Church’s branch at Vreed-en-Hoop, West Coast Demerara around 8:30 pm on Wednesday and robbed staff of over $200,000 in cash and cell phones.
The men held the staff at gunpoint and in an aggressive manner, while using expletives, relieved them of the articles.
They spent about 10 minutes terrorising the staff before escaping in a waiting motorcar.
The employees then ran out screaming and made a report to the police station a few buildings away.
The officers responded promptly but the men had already disappeared.
