The government plans to construct 250 low income houses in Region Three by 2020.
According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) report, Junior Communities Minister Keith Scott said the target areas are Stewartville, Edinburg, Anna Catherina and Cornelia Ida.
In addition, Scott said the ministry will also be on an aggressive drive in the region to address occupancy of the housing areas where lots were allocated under the previous administration. Currently, there is only a 60% to 65% rate of construction of homes on house lots in the Belle West and Parfait Harmonie areas, for which there was a 100% distribution of house lots.
