Suspect identified in murder of Hamson’s owner

The Guyana Police Force yesterday issued a wanted bulletin for the suspect in the murder of Regent Street businessman Farouk Hamid.

Police said Kemo Tyron Evans, 20, is wanted in connection with the murder of Hamid, 56, the owner of Hamson’s General Store on Regent Street.

Hamid was found on the premises of his Nandy Park, East Bank Demerara home by his wife on April 16th, with multiple stab wounds.

Evans’ last known ad-dresses were at Bagots-town, East Bank Demerara and Sophia.

Anyone with information which may lead to the arrest of the man is being asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 226-1333, 225-2722, 226-9941, 911 or the nearest police station.
