Police rugby team faces uphill task

Rugby action in the GTT /GRFU Tens Rugby Tournament continues today at the National Park with the Guyana Police Force locking horns with the Guyana Defence Force.

An uphill task for the policemen would rest heavily on the youthful shoulders of players the likes of Akino James, Daniel De Abreu and Alan Sammy, while the rugged and seasoned GDF outfit would depend on national players, Patrick King, Avery Corbin and Dwayne Schroeder.

The other game for the day’s event would see the ladies match-up, the President Select versus Vice-President Select. Kick off time is 15:00hrs.

Teams are competing for Trophy’s and Medals compliments of GTT.

The teams in tournament are Guyana Defense Force, Pepsi Hornets, UG Wolves, Yamaha Caribs and the Guyana Police Force. The two female teams will comprise mixed national A & B teams.
