Questions on Region 3 vehicle

Dear Editor,

I wish to publicly seek some answers from Regional Executive Officer, Region 3. My reason for going through this medium is primarily because the management of the region is no private business since it involves our taxpayer dollars.

Before I begin let me make it pellucid that I am in no way questioning the Regional Executive Officer’s competency nor am I trying to interfere with his modus operandi. This gentleman has a track record that is impeccable when it comes to management of an organisation. I guess that is because not only is he very well qualified but he has headed a number of institutions and organisations before that were very successful under his tenure.

However, now that he has been elevated to this position within my region, it is my opinion that he must provide answers first and foremost to the citizens of Region 3 and secondly to the public at large.

My first question is, why is the state vehicle that is assigned to Region 3 seen regularly in Region 5? I personally have seen the vehicle there on more than 10 different occasions, and a friend of mine has confirmed that it is there frequently.

My second question is, how high is the gas consumption of the vehicle?

My next question is, what happened to the state-owned vehicle (white in colour) that crashed in Berbice? Was it repaired?

I say again that since I am a taxpayer of this country who resides in Region 3, I should be answered, and in fact all the citizens of the region and Guyana as a whole deserve answers. I await the response from the Regional Executive Officer, Region 3.

Yours faithfully
