A Grove man was yesterday charged with the murder of taxi driver Dennis Narine, who was shot twice in his chest at his home last month.
Ravindra Ramdat, 20, was arraigned at the Wales Magistrate’s Court yesterday, police said in a statement.
He was remanded to prison until July 31st.
Narine, 26, of La Parfait Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, was awakened by noise at a window at his home on May 31st. When he went to make checks, he was shot twice in the chest through the window. His wife and sons ran to the back room for safety. Narine reportedly died in his mother’s arms before he could be taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital for treatment.
