The Editors and Directors of The Arts Journal wish to offer our sincerest congratulations to Henry Muttoo on his award of an Honorary Doctorate by the Univer-sity of the Cayman Islands on Wednesday, October 29, 2015. Dr. Muttoo was recognised for this award in consideration of his profound contributions to the development of the Performing Arts in the Cayman Islands and the wider Caribbean.
We in Guyana are proud of this well-deserved recognition. That the University can recognize and reward the performing arts as part of its intellectual tradition is a sign of the intellectual depth of Dr. Muttoo’s work.
