Banks DIH supports inaugural Trail Marathon

Banks DIH Limited has teamed up with the organizers of the first ever Guyana Trail Marathon which takes place on Saturday at Santa Mission as the main beverage provider.

The local beverage giant has provided sponsorship through its Rain Forest Water and PowerAde brands for the prestigious event which will see both local and international athletes participating in the race through the trails of the Amerindian village.

The sponsorship packages were handed over to officials of the race during a simple ceremony at Thirst Park Friday.

Communications Manager of Banks DIH Limited Troy Peters said the race will showcase Guyana to the world and the Company has continued to demonstrate its commitment to supporting athletics in Guyana.

He said athletes and officials participating will be hydrated with top quality products. Peters said Rain Forest Water on of the Company’s newest products will lend to the theme of the event.

Race Director Sevak Tsaturyan and Village Chief of Santa Mission Aubrey Samuels both thanked Banks DIH Limited for its generous sponsorship of the event.

Rainforest Brand Manager Errol Nelson made the presentation to the race officials including Organiser Leslie Black and Banks DIH Branches Controller Gavin Jodhan.

The mission of Guyana Trail Marathon is to bring athletes and amateur runners around the world for a cultural awareness of the Amerindian community and to raise funds for the local Elementary School.
