Bar association calls for probe of botched surveillance operation

The Guyana Bar Association today called for a full inquiry into the botched December 30th intelligence operation that left three people dead and a host of questions in its wake.
In a statement the association said the operation raised serious questions that pertain to the principle of the rule of law.
It noted that President David Granger has announced that he does not think a full probe is necessary. The association said that with due respect it disagrees with the President.
