A report carried in Saturday’s edition of the Stabroek News, headlined “Benschop says Gecom’s ‘inefficiencies’ stymieing campaign,” erroneously stated that candidate Mark benschop was “concerned about Gecom’s leadership.” Benschop, however, had voiced concern about the composition of the commission, which is only comprised of nominees of the opposition PPP/C and the PNCR, one of the parties which make up the ruling APNU+AFC coalition.
