A woman was yesterday placed on $200,000 bail after denying that she stole clothes and a gold bracelet from the car of a businessman.
Cherryann Hope, 21, denied stealing 12 t-shirts, valued at $180,000, and a gold bracelet, worth $52,000, which were the property of Dexter Forrester, on January 5, 2016.
A city court heard that Forrester had placed the items in his car on America and Lombard streets, near his business and Hope was later seen by bystanders going into the vehicle and removing the items.
Hope’s next hearing is fixed for January 26.
