A source close to the investigation yesterday revealed to Stabroek News that Dennison’s ex-girlfriend is suspected to have useful information about the attack.

Dennison, a Belizean, was shot twice on Thurs-day around 9pm outside his Cumming’s Lodge, East Coast Demerara residence.

He had just dropped off his girlfriend, who is also a student of UG, when the attack occurred. This newspaper was told that Dennison had just returned home when his relatives heard gunshots. After a while, they ventured outside and saw him lying on the ground with blood oozing from his chest and hand. He was picked up and taken to the George-town Public Hospital (GPH), where he remained a patient in critical condition up to late yesterday afternoon.

Up to yesterday, his relatives and colleagues remained tight-lipped about the attack.
