During a visit to the 38 Robb Street location yesterday, Stabroek News observed major rehabilitation being undertaken inside.

According to Raj (only name given), who is in charge of the new operations, the eatery would be reopening very soon. Speaking to Stabroek News briefly, he said it was too early for him to provide any in-depth information of what the facility would entail. He added they are looking to provide a fresh and modern look, while retaining the name Salt and Pepper.

The restaurant has been in existence for approximately three decades and has been famous for an array of tasty Guyanese creole dishes, including its black pudding.
