At about 1120h on Wednesday, police ranks, acting on information received, conducted a search on a camp at Belle Vue Village, East Bank Berbice, where 4 kilograms of marijuana were found, the police said in a release yesterday.
Two men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
At about 1200h on Wednesday, ranks at a police checkpoint at Itaballi conducted a search on a man in whose possession was found 894 grams of marijuana, the release said. He has been arrested and is in police custody. Charges will be made shortly.
Also on Wednesday, police ranks conducted a search on a house at Tabatinga, Lethem, during which 5 kilograms of marijuana were found.
A man and a woman were arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
