Woman critical after Providence crash

A woman is now critical at the Georgetown Public Hospital after the bus she was traveling in crashed into a utility pole at Providence, East Bank Demerara, last night.

Stabroek News understands that around 8:30 PM, a Timehri bus (BNN 9360) was travelling north along the East Bank Highway when it suddenly swerved into the utility pole, crashing into the side of the lane divider. Sasha Ramjattan was the only person who was critically injured. The other persons who suffered minor injuries have been admitted to the hospital and the driver is in police custody assisting with investigations.
