Lopsided wins for Milerock, Winners Connection

Milerock FC and Winners Connection claimed lopsided victories when the Upper Demerara Football Association First Division League continued on Sunday at the Mackenzie Sports Club (MSC) ground.

Milerock walked away with the vital win after grounding Eagles by a 3-0 margin. Neyland Walcott opened the scoring in the 37th minute before Denzil Fordyce and Andre Mendonca sealed the result with strikes in the 92nd and 93rd minutes each.

On the other hand, Winners Connection dismantled fierce rival Topp XX by an identical score line. Rawle Gittens started the lopsided contest with a 35th minute strike.

Keon Sears then made it 2-0 in the 35th minute before Marmarlaque Davidson sealed the win as he found the back of the net in the 61st minute. Action in the event is slated to continue on Friday at the same location.
