Teen shot in Sophia drive-by

A ‘B’ Field, Sophia youth was wounded during a drive-by shooting on Wednesday evening.

Paul Softley, 18, was walking along the roadway at ‘B’ Field along with his brother around 7.15pm, when a vehicle drove by and shots were discharged in their direction. Softley was struck behind his left ear.

Stabroek News understands that the brothers ran after they were shot at and went to the Georgetown Hospital for medical attention.

Police began their investigations after they were informed through an officer stationed at the hospital.

They have, however, been unable to arrest anyone as neither Softley nor his younger brother saw who shot at them while they were walking.

The teen has since been discharged from the hospital.
