East La Penitence youth charged with stealing from neighbour

A youth was granted bail last Thursday after he denied breaking into his neighbour’s house at East La Penitence and stealing over $200,000 in cash and valuables.

Keion Davidson, 20, was brought before Magistrate Fabayo Azore on a charge that he broke and entered the home of Deon Holder, on February 10 at Freeman Street. It is alleged that Davidson stole a flat screen TV, a DVD player, speakers, a Dell computer, 2 gold rings, 3 colognes and $10,000, amounting to a total value of $242,500.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Bail was objected to by the prosecution on the grounds of the seriousness of the offence and the fact that Davidson and Holder are neighbours.

Despite the prosecution’s objection, bail was granted for the defendant in the sum of $100,000 and the matter was adjourned to March 16.
