Trevor Benn for Lands and Surveys Commission

Former Programme Analyst at the United Nations Development Programme  (UNDP) Trevor Benn is tipped to become the new Commissioner of the Guyana Lands and Surveys Commission.

Stabroek News was told that Benn would take up his new position effective April 1st 2016.

Renee Duesbury is the current acting head.

It will not be Benn’s first time in a position at the agency as he once served as a Senior Land Developer there.

Benn, a former Deputy Regional Executive Officer of Region 10, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Development Studies and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.

According to Benn’s LinkedIn profile he has considerable experience in working with donor-funded projects across the spectrum and has engaged with officials at the highest levels of Government in Guyana, the Caribbean, South Sudan, Afghanistan and across international organisations.

“Trevor has very high level representational and advisory experience in a wide variety of cross-cultural settings and also substantive experience working with a variety of multilateral and donor organisations.

Trevor served on the National Youth Commission, National Youth Council, Partners of the Americas Guyana Mississippi Chapter, Caribbean Network for Rural Integrated Development, Caribbean Youth Environmental Network and among others,” LinkedIn stated.
