In a brief comment, Gilbert Carrington said that the Foundation was sanctioned by the previous Administration in December 2014 and they are now in the process of getting the project off the ground. “The plan is to be a community-based organisation to provide education and training for the youths of communities that will train them in areas that will ensure that they get jobs,” he said, according to the Ministry of the Presidency.

The release said that the Carringtons are currently in talks with the administration of the Critchlow Labour College to establish a training curriculum and to set up a special classroom for which they will provide computers, WiFi and other necessary amenities so that the initial phase of training could begin.

Winslow Carrington served as Minister of Labour and Social Security. The meeting was held at the Ministry of the Presidency.
