Clothes vendor remanded on drug charge

A Kitty clothes vendor was yesterday remanded to prison after he appeared before a city court on a drug trafficking charge.

Joseph Ramsay, 44, of Lot 14 Railway Line, Kitty, pleaded not guilty to having 25½ grammes of cocaine in his possession on March 24, for the purpose of trafficking.

After hearing from case prosecutor Deniro Jones that the analysis report in the case was outstanding, Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan adjourned the case to April 18, and ordered that Ramsay be remanded until that time.
