Plumber charged with robbing driver stuck in traffic

 

 

A plumber was yesterday remanded to prison after he was charged with robbing a driver who was held up by traffic. Robert Gibson, 25, who appeared in a city court before Magistrate Dylon Bess was charged with robbing Sherwin Forde while being armed with a gun.

During the attack, which he allegedly committed on January 4, at West Ruimveldt, police say Gibson got away with a Samsung Galaxy phone, valued $75,000, and $119,000 in cash.

According to the facts given, Forde was robbed while he was in his car during a traffic build up.

Gibson pleaded not guilty and was later remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to April 19.
