“I saw all the possibilities of robotics..[ it is ] a new way of getting excited about something,” said Mrs  Granger. The First Lady expressed the hope that the camp can be expanded nationwide for all children.

The release  added that the camp is being conducted by Guyanese-born Karen Abrams and her four children, all of Atlanta, Georgia, USA,  with the assistance  of several groups and businesses in the USA, Canada and Guyana, including the Buxton/New York group. Another workshop is also being held at the Lusignan/Good Hope Learning Centre for children from that area.
