Can a taxpayer get a copy of the GuySuCo diversification programme?

Dear Editor,

I read in the letter by the senior GuySuCo communications officer that “It is disappointing that the leadership of GAWU is already predicting ‘gloom and unimaginable hardship for the residents’ when the diversification programme has not even been implemented” (‘Is GAWU proposing to solve the problems of the sugar industry through resistance?’ SN, September 5).

Could I as a taxpayer subsidizing GuySuCo get a copy of this important programme?

Does GAWU have it? Did they contribute to it? What verifiable offers have been made to which workers in this diversification programme?

Yours faithfully,
Alfred Bhulai
