The decomposed body of a pensioner was found last night at her home at Fyrish Village, Corentyne.
The deceased is Verona Franklin, who was 86-years-old.
A police source related that after neighbours noticed a stench emanating from Franklin’s home, they phoned relatives and her grandson later went to look for her. He discovered her badly decomposed body.
According to information gathered, Franklin lived alone and was last seen by neighbours two days before the discovery was made last night. An investigation has since been launched.
