Minister Harmon does not give up on any task assigned to him

Dear Editor,

On October 8, 2016 in Stabroek News, I was deeply moved to read that the AFC was fruitful in a request to lessen the powers and responsibilities of Minister Harmon. The rhetoric of the General Secretary of the AFC moved me because I am well aware that he knows how generous, kindhearted, and hardworking Minister Harmon is and further that he does not give up on any task anointed onto him.

At no time has Mr Harmon refused to assist another Minister in getting things done to move the country forward. I believe honestly that Minister David Patterson did not mean what he said in the newspaper or it was seriously misconstrued.

A coalition of six parties has a lot on their hands since this new Government took office. Many areas that this Government inherited were in deplorable state; for e.g. roads, hospitals, education/ schools, agriculture/drainage just to mention a few.

We cannot lose focus on what is important to all; a strong coalition. Although the responsibilities assigned to Mr. Harmon may not be fully understood by others, eventually all the pieces will fall into place. A team that is working together to make Guyana a better place for all Guyanese.

Yours faithfully,

Beni Rayman
