Man wounded relative after row over stolen ganja -court hears

A man was yesterday read a charge of inflicting bodily harm on a family member who accused him of stealing his marijuana.

It is alleged that on October 28, at Georgetown, Andre Campbell unlawfully and maliciously wounded Philip Sugrim.

Campbell, 22, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

According to the police’s case, Sugrim confronted Campbell about going into his house and stealing his property (marijuana).

Police say the confrontation annoyed Campbell, who picked up a piece of wood and hit Sugrim about his body, resulting in injuries to his left hand.

City magistrate Dylon Bess set Campbell’s bail at $150,000 bail and adjourned the matter to November 15.
