Members of the UK diaspora may want to come to the following event on January 17 at the London High Commission at 6.30pm: ‘Salute To Two Guyanese Literary Greats ‒ E R Braithwaite and Michael Abbensetts.’
Two Guyanese literary giants died late in 2016: E R Braithwaite the author of To Sir with Love and much more, and Michael Abbensetts who created ‘Empire Road’ and much more. Join us at the Guyana High Commission in an evening celebrating their work and their lives with High Commissioner Hamley Case, Hanif Kureshi (writer), Farrukh Dhondy (former C4 commissioning editor) and Gordon Case (actor).
