Former clerk cleared of $7.8M Caribbean Chemicals theft

A former Caribbean Chemicals Limited employee, who had been accused of stealing over $7.8 million from the company, was freed of the charge on Thursday.

Dianne Moseley, of Lot 115 Third Street, Albert-town, Georgetown, who was previously charged with larceny by clerk/ servant, was acquitted by city magistrate Judy Latchman on the grounds of insufficient evidence.

Moseley had been charged on September 10, 2014, with stealing $7,842,902 from the company, sometime between August 14 and September 6, of that year.

Moseley was represented by attorney Compton Richardson.
