Moblissa farmer shot

The police in E Division are investigating a shooting incident which occurred about 09:00h yesterday at Moblissa, Linden Highway in which Cicel Todd, 56, a cash crop farmer of Moblissa was injured.

A release from the police said that according to the victim, he left home about 08:30h yesterday for Moblissa Hilltop to collect wood shavings for his chickens and on his way home he heard an explosion and suddenly felt a burning sensation to his left thigh, left arm and penis.

The release said that he then fell to the ground and he raised an alarm, resulting in his daughter Deslyn Cornelius going to his rescue and rushing him to the Linden Hospital where he was treated and admitted. He is in a stable condition.

The release said that investigators have so far arrested a 36-year-old male farmer of Moblissa in connection with the incident.

The weapon has not yet been found.
