Two men were yesterday granted bail after denying a charge of armed robbery when they appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
Davon Jackson, 32, and 18-year-old Anthony Hendricks appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty where the charge read against them stated that on June 8, 2016 at Duncan Street, Campbellville while armed with a knife, they robbed Cabrera Batista of $900 and a Blu phone valued $4000.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty. The prosecution made no objection to bail but requested that if granted, that it be substantial. Bail was subsequently granted in the sum of $40,000 each.
The matter was later adjourned to July 1.
