Tuschen man seeking help to find stolen car

A Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo man is seeking the assistance of the public to find his car, which was reportedly stolen at Old Road, Eccles, East Bank Demerara between Sunday evening and Monday morning.

Kubair Balram told Stabroek News that he received a call early Monday morning from Zaman Ali, of Lot 75 Old Road Eccles, who informed him that the car was stolen.

Ali drove the Toyota Spacio, HC 4174, as a hire car.

According to Balram, based on what he was told, Ali, who is attached to the Flamboyant Taxi Service, parked the car in front his premises around 7pm on Sunday and retired to bed. It was not until he woke up the following morning that he discovered that the car was stolen.

The matter was reported to the Providence Police Station, which is investigating.

Balram said that only recently Ali informed him that it appeared as though someone was tampering with the lock of the vehicle.

 

He is calling on the police to thoroughly investigate the theft and is hoping that CCTV footage from the area can assist with the probe.
