Three juveniles escape from Sophia holding centre, one recaptured

While an investigation is in process, one male juvenile has been recaptured, the police say.
He was one among three who escaped from the Juvenile Holding Centre, at Sophia, about 05:00h. this morning, after they allegedly dug a hole in the lower flat and scaled the fence, the police said in a statement.
The recaptured juvenile, who hails from Adventure, Essequibo Coast, and was on remand for robbery under arms, was held at Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, based on information received. The two others were on remand for simple larceny and break and enter and larceny.
Efforts are being made to have them recaptured, the police say.
