Corentyne carpenter died from fractured skull

A post-mortem examination (PME) conducted on the body of the Corentyne carpenter who was found lying lifeless on the Number 70 Public Road around 3.45 am on Tuesday, revealed that he died from a fractured skull.

According to a senior police officer, the PME revealed that the man sustained a fractured skull and a fractured spine along with other injuries.

The source related that the police are leaning towards his death being as a result of a  vehicular incident, but are not ruling out other possibilities. The investigation is still ongoing at this time, however, no arrests have been made.

The body of Faiyaz Narinedatt, 26, of Lot 36 Number 70 Village, Corentyne was discovered by relatives after they were informed that he was involved in an accident. Relatives said his body had what appeared to be marks of violence. Narinedatt had left home to attend a party held by an overseas-based Guyanese. Relatives are suspicious of the events leading up to Narinedatt’s death, given that his shirt and his slippers were discovered in the street where the party was held. Relatives also noticed broken pickets in the street.

Narinedatt was an only child, he leaves to mourn his parents, wife and two children.

He was a carpenter and a part-time painter. His family is pleading with the police to investigate thoroughly.
