RECAP

When the season kicked off  last weekend, the campaigns of the Pepsi Hornets and the UG Wolves got off to positive starts with handsome victories.

In the season opener last Saturday, the Hornets’ ruggers clad in their spanking new blue, red and white outfits, came from behind to sting their arch rivals, Yamaha Caribs 38-20 in a seesaw matchup.

While the following day, the rampant student athletes of Guyana’s highest learning institution thoroughly schooled the up and coming Police Falcons unit with a 64-5 drubbing.

Lance Adonis was a thorn in the side of the Falcons as he toyed with their defense and helped himself to three tries and six conversions. (Emmerson Campbell)
