Milo football continues this weekend

Following the conclusion of the round-robin stage, the round of the 16 section in the 4th Annual Milo Schools u-20 Football Championship will commence today at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.

In the opening fixture at 11:00hrs, former winner Lodge Secondary will oppose North Ruimveldt Secondary while last year’s defeated finalist Dolphin Secondary will lock horns with Richard Ishmael from 12:30hrs.

At 14:00hrs, Tucville Secondary will tackle Queens College in the third matchup while the final fixture of the day will pit the Bishops High against St. Roses High from 15:30hrs.

The event will then continue tomorrow at the same venue with the remaining matchups in the round.

At 11:00hrs, Christ Church Secondary will oppose Queenstown Secondary whilst St. John’s College will match skills with North Georgetown Secondary in the second affair from 12:30hrs.

In the third matchup, surprise package Mae’s Secondary will oppose South Ruimveldt Secondary from 14:00hrs while defending champ Chase Academy will oppose Kingston Secondary from 15:30hrs.

Upon the conclusion of the round of 16 stage, the event will progress to the quarterfinal round. Winner of the event will walk away with the championship trophy and $500,000 towards a school project.

On the other hand, the second, third and fourth place finishers will receive $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 correspondingly towards the funding of a school initiative and the respective trophy.
