Action in the third annual Stag Beer sponsored West Demerara Football Association (WDFA) League will resume over the weekend with doubleheaders at the Den Amstel Community ground.
Today, Eagles FC will oppose Wales FC from 13:00hrs while in the always physical and emotional Pouderoyen derby, Young Achievers will face-off with Pouderoyen FC from 16:00hrs.
Tomorrow at 13:00hrs, it will be a battle of bottlm dwellers when Vege Boyz tackle Golden Warriors while the feature contest at 16:00hrs will pit Beavers FC against Stewartville.
On another note, the WDFA executives have officially ruled in the favour of Den Amstel after it was proven following an investigation that Beavers FC had fielded an ineligible player in the aforesaid teams fixture.
Due to the decision, Den Amstel will be awarded the victory and move atop the standings. All matches in the event will be played at Den Amstel Community Centre ground. Prize monies for the top four finishers will be announced shortly by the association.
