GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – Caribbean Premier League organisers yesterday reiterated their commitment to stamping out corruption in the game after banning an Indian national from attending the competition for live betting during a game at Warner Park.
The individual was caught “pitch-siding” – relaying real-time information on ongoing games back to bookies – during last Tuesday’s contest between St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Barbados Tridents and subsequently ejected.
